“Arise, shine for your light has come, and the GLORY of the Lord rises upon you. See darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people but the Lord rises upon you and his GLORY appears over you.” Isaiah 60:1-2
What is your part in the Gospel story? What is your part in the Battle over life?
Jesus is Life! He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life! John 14:6. There is no other above him. If you are for Jesus, you must be for Life. There is no in between and God is putting this message on my heart to share with anyone who will listen. Oh! I hope you listen, because God is sending forth messengers to speak His truth.
January 19th is recognized as Sanctity of Life and although this marks the one time of year that pastors, churches, individuals may lift their voice in honor of the unborn, it should be a mobile message that is heard from our voice everyday, everywhere we go. We should all be ambassadors for Life, if we are for Jesus, because let me be clear that the battle is between the Gospel of Life and the culture of death. You can’t compromise. Which side of the battle are you on? This battle will determine the destiny of all mankind. This battle will determine the destiny of your children, grandchildren, and generations to come.
As we fight physically and spiritually to win the battle, I get so frustrated and quite frankly fed up with so many negative comments. “you won’t win, that bill will never pass, its too big we just need to pray”. Well, yes we must pray, but we must also get active and do something. God can win a battle with one individual if he chooses, he can win a battle with a small group of willing believers. Yes! Victory is ours and its coming! I speak forth and believe we will see abortion end in America. We will see laws overturned, such as Roe vs Wade. We will see God’s GLORY and his heart in a way we never have before. He will make himself known and seen.
What would it look like if you built a wall of hope around your community?
What would it look like if a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy knew all her needs would be met?
What would it look like if you mentored her?
What if she could be set free from the pain and shame she is hiding?
What if she came to know Jesus as her Savior?
Hallelujah!! Get active! I feel the anointing even as I write. We can all do something to change the course of the future and build a culture of life. We must be Jesus to the woman at the well. We need men on the front line. Men rise up! We need fathers. The battle for life will be won when we not only care for own family, but the WHOLE family of God.
Let’s talk about abortion. When a woman is considering abortion there is a silent cry within her. That cry is I’m desperate, I’m hopeless, I need freedom. She believes the lie that abortion will free her. Abortion does not free, it enslaves! and floods the world with darkness and pain. Sadly, the church has believed the same lies. The darkness is not limited to the world outside the church walls. Inside the church our own lights have dimmed. We must Arise and be a beacon of hope, because 1 in every 3 women in the church have had an abortion, and they are hurting.
I wonder when we talk about the sanctity of life do the women listening believe their lives are sacred too? Well they are! Do we offer hope and healing to anyone that lives in the darkness of abortion. Many women that have had abortions commit suicide because they can’t deal with the hidden pain. 78% of post abortive women claim a religious affiliation. Sadly, 64% believe church members would be more likely to gossip about them than help them.
If you are post abortion and reading this, let me say to you: Your life matters, God loves you, and you deserve the dignity of grieving and morning the loss of your baby. So does your baby deserve to be honored, because their life mattered and still has purpose!
